Kay is hired as movie star Gloria’s secretary, and also becomes her “off-stage stand-in” at social events. At a charity ball, Kay is approached by Rex, Gloria’s estranged husband. Gloria arrives and reveals that her marriage to Rex was annulled and she’s now married to Nick. Rex tells Kay that he knew she wasn’t Gloria, and has fallen for her. She feels the same way.
