Ask your AI assistant about your collection

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-ready assistant to CollectionPlnr and talk to your collection in plain English. What is it worth? Which issues are you missing? What should you pre-order before cut-off? Your assistant answers from your own collection and our full catalogue, with a link to every item.

What your assistant can do

Know what it is worth

Ask for your collection value, hobby by hobby, or the price of any single comic, card, set or Pop, with the date behind every figure.

Find every gap

Name a comic run or a card set and get the exact issues or cards you are missing, ready to take to a shop or a convention.

Never miss a release

See what lands in the next 90 days across comics, card games, LEGO and Funko, plus final order cut-off dates for every series you follow.

Search the whole catalogue

Millions of comics, every Magic, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana and One Piece card, LEGO sets and minifigures, Funko Pops and manga.

Spot what is heating up

Pro members get Signals: comic series gathering pace, issues to order before cut-off and Pokemon sets on the move.

Plan your next buy

Rank your wishlist by value, check what you already own before you buy twice, and let your assistant build the shopping list.

Questions to try

  • “What is my collection worth, hobby by hobby?”
  • “Which ten items in my collection are the most valuable?”
  • “Which issues am I missing from my Amazing Spider-Man run?”
  • “How close am I to finishing my Pokemon 151 set?”
  • “What comes out in the next 30 days for the series I follow, and when is final order cut-off?”
  • “What is a sealed Millennium Falcon 75192 worth today?”
  • “Which comic series are heating up right now?”
  • “What did I add to my collection this month?”

Your assistant picks the right lookup on its own, combines the answers and links you straight to each item page, so you can check the detail or add to your collection in one click.

Set it up in two minutes

  1. Sign in and open Account settings. Under Connect AI assistants, create a token and give it a name such as Claude. Copy it straight away: for your security it is shown once.
  2. Add CollectionPlnr to your assistant with the server URL and your token, as shown below.
  3. Ask a question. Your assistant asks permission the first time it uses a CollectionPlnr tool.
https://www.collectionplnr.com/mcp

Claude

  1. In Claude on the web or desktop, open Customize > Connectors and click Add custom connector.
  2. Name it CollectionPlnr and paste the server URL above.
  3. Under Authentication choose No sign-in.
  4. Under Request headers choose authorization and enter Bearer, a space, then your token.
Bearer cp_your_token

Claude is rolling Request headers out account by account. Not there yet? Use Claude Code, or the desktop config under Other MCP clients. In Claude Code, one command does it:

claude mcp add --transport http collectionplnr https://www.collectionplnr.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer cp_your_token"

ChatGPT

ChatGPT connects apps through a sign-in flow, so Sign in with CollectionPlnr for ChatGPT is next on our list and will appear here the moment it is live. If you build with OpenAI's Responses API or Agents SDK, connect today: pass the server URL and send your token as the Authorization header.

Other MCP clients

Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and every client that speaks remote MCP over Streamable HTTP with a custom header connect with an entry like this in their MCP config:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "collectionplnr": {
      "url": "https://www.collectionplnr.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer cp_your_token"
      }
    }
  }
}

Clients that only launch local servers, including Claude Desktop's config file, bridge through mcp-remote:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "collectionplnr": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "mcp-remote",
        "https://www.collectionplnr.com/mcp",
        "--header",
        "Authorization:${AUTH_HEADER}"
      ],
      "env": {
        "AUTH_HEADER": "Bearer cp_your_token"
      }
    }
  }
}

Private by design

  • Read-only. Tokens can look things up. They cannot add, change or delete a single item.
  • Your data only. A token sees your collection, your wishlist and the public catalogue. Never anyone else's collection, and never your email, notes or what you paid.
  • Revocable in one click. Revoke a token in Account settings and it stops working on the very next request. Each token shows when it was last used.
  • Stored safely. We keep only a one-way fingerprint of each token, never the token itself, which is why it is shown to you once.

Your assistant provider sees the answers it fetches for you, just as it sees anything else you share in a chat. Read our privacy policy for how CollectionPlnr handles your data.

What your plan unlocks

Connecting an assistant is free on every plan, and so are catalogue search, item values, your collection and wishlist, gap finding and the release calendar. Starter adds your collection's total value, hobby by hobby. Pro adds Signals. Compare plans.

Questions

Which AI assistants work with CollectionPlnr?

Claude (web, desktop and Claude Code), plus any app that supports remote MCP servers with a custom header, such as Cursor and VS Code. Sign in with CollectionPlnr for ChatGPT is on the way.

Can the assistant change my collection?

No. Every token is read-only. The assistant can look things up and answer questions, but it cannot add, edit or delete anything.

Can it see other people's collections?

No. A token only ever sees your own collection, plus the public catalogue that every visitor can browse.

How do I disconnect an assistant?

Revoke its token in Account settings under Connect AI assistants. It stops working on the next request.

Does it cost extra?

No. Connecting an assistant is free on every plan. What it can tell you follows your plan: collection value totals come with Starter and Signals with Pro.
