Treasure Chest of Fun and Fact #12 [318]

Grandpa Norris explains to Chuck how the steam engine on a locomotive works. Suddenly, a news report comes over the radio of a mine explosion that has trapped 22 men, including the mine's assistant supervisor, who happens to be the son of Mr.Borden, the railroad president. Chuck comes up with a plan to take the steam locomotive to the mine, where it will provide steam for the mine's old steam generating plant. Mr. Borden goes with them in the locomotive, in their race against time.
