Secretary Arlene accepts a marriage proposal from her boss Mark, although she only feels gratitude for his kindness, “not love!” Arlene and Paul fall in love but she won’t hurt Mark by breaking their engagement. Fortunately, Mark realises the truth and releases her from her promise: “I’ll get over it!” Arlene can now wed the man she truly loves.
