Beyond the Windy Isles

Jeremiah Steiner and Corto Maltese, who is still amnesiac after the previous adventure, travel to Maracaibo; where Levi Colombia, a friend of Steiner, offers the latter an expedition in search of El Dorado. Steiner tries to heal Corto's amnesia by preparing a risotto with hallucinogenic mushrooms. To convince Corto, Steiner himself eats it, and falls into a dream in which he and Corto are already looking for El Dorado, but are captured by the Indians; when they are about to be tortured and killed, Steiner wakes up. Corto recovers his memory, but rejects Levi's offer.
