Circus big cat handler Kay Spencer has come into possession of Ophelia, an Egyptian cat rumored by superstitious circus folk to have an \"evil eye\". Ophelia gets jealous of anyone (man or beast) that captures Kay's attention. Trapeze artist Bud Marvel, who's become romantically linked with Kay, dismisses the notion of Ophelia's powers... until the talented aerialist meets with an uncharacteristic accident while performing. Bud survives but now realizes he is at war with the evil-eyed cat.
