Whilst Jefferson is driving his big truck with his brother Ulysses (U.S.) beside him, they are crashed off the road by the mysterious Highwayman, with Jefferson presumed dead. U.S. is taken to hospital where the doctors undertake experimental surgery on his skull, which ultimately lets U.S. pick up CB radio transmissions. U.S. converts his own truck with state-of the art gadgets and weaponry to go looking for the Highwayman, in order to find out what happened to his brother. The Highwayman tries to run U.S. off the road, but goes over the side of the mountain himself.
