D'Compose and Tendril battle the Earth Corps and leave the city, heading into San Francisco Bay. While searching for them in an underwater cave in their sub, Herc and Auger get attacked where they barely escape. Meanwhile Dr.Bright checks out the oil rig where Tendril was freed and nearly gets killed by Blackthorne Shore and his men. Liquidator explores the Big Sur forest and is confronted by the living trees from the previous issue who explain the origins of the monsters dubbed \"Inhumanoids\". The Earth Corps head back to their base to compare notes until they get attacked by Tendril.
