The Kents take Clark to Metropolis for the Fourth of July celebrations. Committee member Cyrus Barton advocates for the largest display of fireworks ever seen in the city, and crooks use the diversion to raid a bank vault. Superboy foils that and other crimes, resulting in a giant float depicting the Boy of Steel, who prophetically says, 'Thanks folks! Maybe I'll be back again some day!'
