Darkseid has opened a portal to Themyscira, and Grail has gone through and is turning the Amazons into obedient parademons and sending them back through the portal to attack Wonder Woman and the A.R.G.U.S. forces. Jason follows Grail through the portal to stop her, and reunites with his mother Hippolyta. Wonder Woman defeats Darkseid with the help of the spirits of Zeus and her murdered brothers and sisters.
