It's 1820 and Jonathan Hardy sets out from Plymouth to take up a new post in Australia. Accompanying him are his fiancée Elizabeth and her father. Also on the ship are convicts who will be performing manual labor in the new world. Among the female convicts, one pretty young girl catches Jonathan's eye.
