Gail, a reporter working at a weekly magazine, is assigned the task of getting an interview with a rising classical violinist, Greg Turner. He hates the press so Gail arranges an 'accident' to get to meet him and continues to set him up in situations that make good stories for her. However, the bad publicity from Gail's stories is ruining Greg's career.
