Sela, Blake (Realm Knight of Wonderland) and Bolder (a dwarf) travel together to Tallus to see the high priestess, each with their own reasons. On the way they battle orc scouts from an army Orcus is leading to siege Tallus. The story also reveals how Gruel, Orcus' most trusted servant, came to pledge his loyalty to Orcus.
