The four heroes manage to temporarily escape the Black Shroud. He brings in more villains to recapture them. Then, explaining that he expects to be bored after his sacrifice of 5 billion humans allows him to gain godlike status with no challenges, he lets them all go. He tells them to come back with more forces; he wants the final battle to be interesting.
