Pinhead is yanked back to ancient Sumer, where he aggressively takes control of Bel Ala, his former self. Pinhead convinces Ala's lover Inanna to help him take over Sumer, whilst unbeknownst to him, Inanna is secretly plotting with Aggregate conducting experiments with a mysterious ore. Gehenna arrives in this time period to assist Pinhead, and inadvertently helps Aggregate create a new Configuration.
