With Buck Rogers missing and the sun burning away Earth's atmosphere, Huer and experts use rockets to blanket Earth in artificial fog; meanwhile, on Planet X, Buck and Wilma discover that Ardala has colluded with Killer Kane to use immensely powerful electro magnets to increase the sun's gravity pull on Earth. Buck cuts the main switch, allowing Earth to resume its original orbit. Ardala makes her escape and vows to defeat Buck one day.
