Cynthia marries Bill, but soon discovers he’s ruthlessly ambitious and unscrupulous in his drive to be successful. Ted, whose ideas and job were stolen by Bill, shows Cynthia that Bill is romancing wealthy Marion. Confronted with his infidelity, Bill admits it but says Marion is “an old bag” that he is using for business purposes. Marion overhears and fires Bill, who feels he’s now lost everything. But Cynthia says she still loves him and they can rebuild their lives.
