Beth’s husband John is depressed over business troubles. He asks Jane to understand and economize when he quits his job. She criticizes his lack of initiative and refuses to modify her lifestyle. Attending a party without John, Beth meets handsome architect Roger. When he makes a pass at her, Beth rejects him and realizes she hasn’t been supportive of the man she loves, John. However, John has moved out. Beth is unhappy until John returns; he has a new job and they decide to start over.
