Father Charles Nerinckx travels to the United States in 1804 and founds the Sisters of Loretto in Loretto, Kentucky. Mary Rhodes, Christine Stuart and Nancy Havern start a school and are the first to join the order. The order establishes schools in Missouri, Kansas and New Mexico. In 1962, they celebrate their 150th anniversary.
