The Glads write and sing a song about preventing pollution. Fran tells Rod how they are doing something worthy. Rod takes the challenge and writes a speech about keeping Larchdale clean. Everyone congratulates him on a fine job. As he walks away saying he hopes they learned something, he throws his papers on the ground.
