Eve is given the assignment of interviewing a reclusive writer who doesn't want to talk to reporters. Her editor arranges the rental of a cottage on the same stretch of beach where the writer lives so she can meet him 'accidentally' and pretend she's never heard of him. She soon falls in love with the writer and decides not to send in the story about him, but not before he sees the title of her story in her typewriter.
