The team discovers that their true antagonist is an alien A.I. named Orphan, using the dreams of the villain Shane Mundy to attack them, without understanding the difference between right and wrong. Once Orphan realizes that Mundy is not a good person, he kills him and everything turns back to normal. Dreamguard agrees to watch over Orphan in the future, and teach it a thing or two about Earth.
