The Panther spirit, angered that T'Challa is doing nothing to stop the apartheid actions of the country of Azania, leaves T'Challa and enters the body of a tortured Azanian transforming him into a powerful \"Man-Cat\". The Man-Cat goes on a rampage killing members of the Azanian apartheid authorities. The Azanians think that T'Challa himself is behind the attacks. Without the Panther spirit, T'Challa begins to lose the confidence of the Wakandan people.
