The Adventures of Rex the Wonder Dog #18

Major Dennis, Danny, and Rex are flying, but put down on an uncharted island for repairs. Come morning, the island starts sinking and they barely take off. Flying to a second island, the natives hide in fear until Rex saves a child from the river. They must pay tribute to the \"evil spirit\" who rules the sinking-and-reappearing island. Our heroes follow the tribute and discover a large statue that talks - because evil men hide inside. Rex routs them and Major Dennis fires rockets to destroy the false idol.
