Superman discovers an Earth scientist visited Krypton before it exploded. Prof Enders was transported to Krypton using a matter transmitter invented by Jor-El. Jor-El wanted to know if Earth would be a stable environment for Kryptonians. But the transmitter stopped working after Prof Enders returned home due to atomic radiation, so Jor-El had to use a rocket to send his son to Earth.
