In 1948 Berlin, Tracy and Tess continue their hunt for Noffel, an elusive Nazi spy. The American embassy offers no help, so the pair seek out underground information sources. Sam rousts informant Shaky for dope on the whereabouts and activities of the Summer Sisters. He learns they plan a robbery at the docks. The sisters raid a freighter in from Germany but are interrupted by police led by Sam. May is wounded in the ensuing firefight, but the criminals escape. In the hold of the freighter Sam discovers a fortune in Nazi gold. The Brow, the Summer Sisters' superior, vows to recover the gold.
