Astonishing X-Men #25

Direct Edition

This page represents the regular first-print edition (Cover A). Separate pages are available for the 4 variant covers and 1 later printing.

The X-Men are settling into their new headquarters in San Francisco. Storm arrives, explaining that she convinced T'Challa to let her \"scope out\" the team's current methods as he is helping fund them through Mutantes Sans Frontieres; she was bored in Wakanda. She arrives in time to join the team in new street clothes designed to help them avoid anti-superhero sentiment, as they answer a call from the San Francisco police to help with a mysterious burning body. Clues found send the team, now switched to more traditional superhero gear, to Chaparanga Beach, the graveyard of starships.
