This page represents the regular first-print edition. Separate pages are available for the 7 variant covers.

A temporal anomaly sends Reed and Ben to 114 CE Gaul while erasing the rest of the team and family. Gaul is being invaded by aliens, which caused the anomaly. They ally themselves with the local Roman soldiers and fight the aliens. The blacksmiths help them construct refractors to defeat the planetary sanitizer. They are transported back to the restored present, and Sue tells them the refractors are in a history museum.
