The Wine-Dark Deep

Now able to communicate with the Tholian child thanks to Uhura's linguistic efforts, Kirk and Spock speak with Bright Eyes to try to determine the motive for the attack on his home. Meanwhile, an unknown alien urges the Tholians to take action against the Enterprise. Trapped in a Tholian Web, Kirk and Sulu join forces with an aquatic alien whose ship is also trapped in the web to find a way to escape.
