A telegram arrives stating that Daniel is returning, causing Liz and Mandy argue about which one of them he truly loved. They had been attracted to him five years earlier because of his maturity back then. The older man had told each of them that he had been in love before, but \"in you I have found my finest and best love\". When he arrives, they see he is now a paunchy, older man and run back to their current boyfriends.
