When Jérôme's father asks how much money she wants to stop seeing his son, Dominique is indignant. She is fired by Scarden, but is even more determined to continue seeing Jérôme. Gérard tells Dominique that he has also been fired by Scarden, but has actually been tasked to win Dominique away from Jérôme. Dominique starts seeing more of Gérard when Jérôme is unavailable. Ultimately, Dominique's mind is made up when Jérôme is unwilling to stand up to his father and Gérard thrashes the two thugs Boss Scarden sends after him to teach him a lesson for backing out of their arrangement.
