Working as his secretary for two years, Laura secretly loved Roberto. But when he comes home from a trip with a new fiancée, Laura is devastated. Roberto's cousin sees Laura's pain and offers her a job as governess of his daughter. Laura is made part of the family and begins to feel warmth in her new home until Roberto arrives. He states that he has separated from Elisa and realizes he wants to marry Laura. He wants Marcos and his daughter to be in the wedding party, but the housekeeper speaks up, telling them how Roberto had been seeing Marcos' wife before she had died.
