Kathy goes to say goodbye to Mike, her childhood friend, as she is engaged now to Brian. Mike takes her hand and leads her onto his boat. She follows, not wanting to be rude. Claiming to check the engine, Mike starts up the boat and leaves the pier. Kathy demands that he take her back, but he tells her he loves her and is only willing to take her back if she gives him a kiss.
