At Feodore's engagement party, her best friend's brother recognizes her fiance as someone he knew from his R.A.F. days. The day after the engagement party, her fiance leaves without a word to go to London. Feodore follows him to London and he seems happy to see her, but is defensive when she tries to ask why he left.
