Maxine is stunned when a stranger comes up to her on the street and demands that she kiss him. It turns out he is trying to hide from a group of teenagers trying to find him. She has no idea who he is so he gives her a fake name. He seeks her out the following day at the dance studio where she works, but tells her that the ballroom dancing is wrong for the shows he puts on. To get back at him, she disguises herself and uses a French name to get a job in his production to prove she can also do the twist.
