True Life Library #24

Traveling to her holiday at Southbeach, Iris meets a young widower, John. They fall in love and are eventually married. But the man who Iris had worked for is still determined to make her his own wife. While John is in the hospital after being injured while heroically helping some fellow trapped miners, a woman shows up at his house claiming to be his first wife. She claims the news of her death after running off with another man to the South Seas was a result of she and her lover bribing the native chief who reported it.
