True Life Library #23

Evelyn's son gets engaged to a judge's daughter. However, Evelyn has a secret. Many years ago, she had killed her husband when he threatened their baby. She was convicted of murder and spent five years in prison. Released, she changed her name and made a successful career for herself. When her son would ask about his father, she showed him a photo of a man who had loved her years ago, but was now believed to be dead. Now all her work seems like it will fall apart when she realizes her son's future father-in-law is the same man who sent her to prison.
