Flo gets a job doing publicity for a wrestling promoter. She publicises the plus-size Ted as “Fatman,\" and makes him popular with various stunts, mostly centered on eating. Ted asks Flo for a date and she views him as an individual, although his appearance turns her off. Ted quits when he's earned “enough for my purpose,” and Flo, seeing her career threatened, insults him. Ted returns, many pounds lighter – his earnings paid for treatments of a medical condition – but doesn’t forgive Flo’s cruelty. Flo sadly quits her job and eventually she and Ted reunite.
