Disguised as an old woman, an enchantress asks for sanctuary from a prince in his castle deep in the woods. Refused, she casts a spell on the household and all in it. But the spell goes awry, affecting her as well. With her last bit of strength, she gives an enchanted rose and a mission to right things to a passing villager named Belle.
