Galactus asks the Silver Surfer to investigate an artifact within the core of a comet; Thanos hires the bounty hunter White Raven for the same purpose; within the comet the Surfer and White Raven discover an elder demon is being housed; to stop the demon, they destroy the comet, leaving Galactus and Thanos empty-handed.
