Fourteen year old Teru Momijiyama, secretly the Japanese superhero Shy, already struggles with self-confidence issues. But when a rescue of patrons trapped on a malfunctioning roller coaster goes awry and results in injury, Teru's confidence plummets to the point where she can't summon her powers.
