The Birth of Humankind

Yuval contemplates the history of humankind and shares that history with his niece Zoe, with the help of his friend, the biologist Professor Saraswati. A discussion of the various species of the genus Homo is followed by speculation on how the species Sapiens developed culture with the aid of their large brains, and how this in turn enabled them to dominate their ecological niches, to the detriment of most other mega-fauna, including other species of humans.
