Dr. Kim says that he cannot help Amy reconnect with Oliver. Despite Cassie's cautions, Amy determines to help Oliver resist the Nothingness, and explores an abandoned waste treatment plant where Oliver has created graffiti murals. But he refuses any contact with her. Dave breaks up with Cassie, as he has been beaten down by her controlling nature. Cassie slowly responds to encouragement from Amy.
