Ido finds a cyborg of a young girl in a scrap heap. After he revives her, she has no memories and he names her Alita. Alita hears about a serial killer killing cyborg females and notices Ido sneaking out at night and returning with cyborg parts for her in the morning. Thinking the worst Alita follows Ido out one night and both are surprised by what they learn about each other.
