On a visit to the beach, Claire meets Andre who tells her he is a waiter at the hotel where she is staying. She falls for him, but her aunt is trying to match her up with a millionaire. Claire's aunt has spent the last of her money to arrange the match and Claire feels obligated to her since her aunt took her in when she was ill after her parents died. When Claire breaks the news to Andre, he reveals to her aunt that he is actually the son of the hotel owner.
