Milton Caniff's Steve Canyon #1951

The general pairs Steve Canyon with stage magician Foo Ling, who will slip into Red China on a secret mission. Steve and Breck Nazaire trains air crew and commandos for a rescue from prison camp, and Dr. Deen Wilderness leaps aboard at the last minute, in place of a missing male doctor. Breck, whose attempts to romance Deen had inadvertently delayed take-off, sacrifices himself so that Steve can get airborne from China and bring the others safely home.
