Odin wields Mjolnir to defeat Karnilla. Although Thor dies from Karnilla's attack, Sif's tears mingle with sand from the Lake of Lilitha and it becomes water which restores Thor to life. Balder's compassionate nature helps fend off Karnilla and the sword which is forged from the trio's efforts is called Svadren and given to Balder as his reward.
