The Life Eaters #1

During World War II, the Germans summon the Norse gods to help them achieve victory. Only Loki sides with the Allies and, in 1962, accompanies Chris Turing and his soldiers in a last ditch effort against Odin's forces. As they reach their goal, however, Loki disappears. With their most powerful ally gone, Chris and his soldiers are quickly captured by the gods. Even though their cause is lost and their lives forfeit, Chris defies Thor, breaks the Spear of Destiny and tells Odin he does not believe in him. This action has a deep impression on young servant, Lars.
