Lila has a habit of recklessly meddling in the lives of others. Trying to promote a romance for her friend, Lila signs Kate’s name to a letter to Fred. This backfires. Lila tries to get her fiancé Tom a promotion, but he loses his job instead. Her meddling also ruins his chance for a government job; Tom breaks up with her. Lila realises the error of her ways and Tom forgives her.
